Apply to Serve on the Board of Directors

Thank you for your interest in a position on State Department Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors. As a volunteer State Department Federal Credit Union (SDFCU) Director, you will play a vital role in the strategic and decision-making processes for the credit union. This position is a unique way to serve your credit union and its members. The Nominating Committee is seeking candidates to fill three 3-year terms that will expire in April 2023. Board Members Robert Petersen, Jim Robertson, and Carroll Thomas have been appointed to serve on the 2019/2020 Nominating Committee.

Please fill out the nomination application and answer the questions in each section completely and accurately. SDFCU staff will present the information you provide in both the Experience and the Vision Statement sections exactly as submitted, with no editing. Providing a Vision Statement is optional and will only be available for members to read via SDFCU's website election page. If you choose to provide a Vision Statement, it will be noted on the ballot that it is available on the SDFCU website.

Your nomination application must be submitted no later than September 20, 2019 in order to be considered. The new Directors will be announced and introduced to the SDFCU membership at the SDFCU Annual Meeting on April 15, 2020.
