The State Department Federal Credit Union Scholarship Competition is held annually from February through April. We have awarded more than $370,000 in scholarships to our members. The Board of Directors approved a fund of $50,000 to be distributed among applicants selected by the Scholarship Committee in the 2008 competition. Past winners from previous years may apply.*
To qualify for the competition, you must:
- have your own account in good standing with SDFCU;
- be currently enrolled in a degree program and have completed 12 credit hours of coursework at an accredited college or university;
- have achieved a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. (cumulative on a 4.0 scale) and submit official cumulative transcripts(s); and
- submit all parts of the application and forms by the deadline.
