| Notary Public Services A Notary Public is a state official authorized to witness the signing of important documents such as acknowledgements and jurats, administer oaths and affirmations, certify affidavits or depositions, and certain other powers as provided for by law. State Department Federal Credit Union has Notaries at all five of our branches. Members must call ahead to verify that the Notary Public is available on the day you would like to visit.
