Protecting our member's privacy and strengthening the security of Internet Banking is one of SDFCU's highest priority. About a year ago, SDFCU provided a security feature for Internet Banking requiring an additional "factor" (in addition to your account number and password), to login to your Internet Banking account to comply with recent Banking and Credit Union regulations. Every member using Internet Banking selected two questions and supplied answers. Since last year, participation in this program was voluntary and the majority of SDFCU members elected to participate.

SDFCU recently made this enhanced security feature mandatory for all members using Internet Banking to ensure all its online members take advantage of securing their online banking transactions. Every member will have up to 10 grace logins and the delay enrollment will not be available after October 6, 2007. Members using Internet Banking must register every PC they use for Internet Banking. This prevents anyone from logging to your account from a non-registered PC even if they know your Internet Banking account number and password. This greatly enhances the security of your Internet Banking account. Registering your PC is a one-time event, however if you delete your browser cookies then you'll have to re-register your PC which is quick process.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at sdfcu@sdfcu.org.
